Connecting Points

We don’t form connections over what’s perfect, we bond over what’s imperfect.

Remember this when your trials result in error, mistakes, and failure—those are connecting points, not disconnecting points.

Fueled By Fear

…of being average, unworthy, and boring.

Fear, channeled, has kept my tank off “E” and engine running STRONG for years.

Don’t suppress fear; use it.

The Antidote

The antidote to harm: Love.

The antidote to hate: Love.

The antidote to indifference: Love.

The antidote to fear: Love.

The antidote to cruelty: Love.

Be a walking antidote to the poisons of the world.

Carving Doorways

One of the most beautiful things you can do when you’re overly emotional is carefully describe what it is you’re feeling.

Not only does this practice help you, but your account may carve a doorway where, for another, existed nothing but walls.

Come Alive

The future is not “lost.”

We are not “hopeless.”

We are incredibly passionate, resilient, and innovative.

What we need isn’t a defeatist mentality.

What we need are more people to come alive and realize the impact their individual actions can have on the greater whole.

Upgrading Judgment

Don’t be scared of bad judgment.

It’s where all of your good judgment comes from.

Be scared of not exercising your judgment at all.

It’s where bad judgment remains unchanged.

Little Wins

Little wins I’m proud of today:

  • When in a hurry, I stopped and hugged a dear friend (vs waving while rushing).
  • I practiced 3 minutes of stillness while microwaving (vs practicing 3 minutes of media consuming).
  • I said “no” to the cake.

Little wins matter, too.
